Rogue will be experiencing these paths within the plot:
STAGE 1 ( August 1 - 4 ) This stage is the same for all characters: they will suffer from a light fever, feel achy and tired.
STAGE 2 ( August 5 - 10 ) P2: The fever will go away and characters will feel fine for a brief period before new symptoms set in: something hard starts spreading beneath their skin, making movements just a little more difficult for affected areas. The pain of this ranges from light discomfort to severe. If characters investigate and cut themselves open, they will find that they can cut away only a layer of skin before reaching copper spreading beneath their skin.
STAGE 3 ( August 11 - 15 ) P2: The hardness spreads and brings additional symptoms and worsening conditions with it: some joints may no longer move at all, skin turning hard and impenetrable, characters losing their sensory perception of affected limbs/surfaces.
STAGE 4 ( August 16 - 31 ) The tables turn for all paths with characters’ bodies gaining ground in the regression back to normal. The extent to which characters’ bodies revert back to normal is up to player discretion, with the potential for some of the transformations becoming permanent.
Rogue previously found a copper wire in her body and still has it stored in her room. She'll gladly tell people about it and show them the little thing.
As the copper moves throughout her body, the focus will be on her left side. The joints in her leg will stiffen and she'll lose finer motor skill in her left hand. Presently undecided what if any of these changes will remain permanently.
Want to do a thing with my girl? Hit me up for anything and everything!
With the last symptoms of the mysterious illness finally fading and things returning to normal — or something that counts for it aboard the station, Rogue might think she’ll have some time to recuperate, recover, maybe even relax.
Not so much, no.
Without warning, her powers go haywire. Brushing past a person on the corridor even without touching them will trigger the absorption of life force, leaving the other person weak and faint. Any attempts from Rogue to help will only suck further life force from the other person, leaving her with no choice but to move away — and as though that wasn’t enough, she then disappears. One moment, she’s in the corridor, reminded of fearing her powers, the next, she’s floating somewhere.
There’s no gravity, but she isn’t out in the depth of space. The air is breathable, though Rogue will soon feel light-headed and a little faint herself. She’s surrounded by metal. In fact, she seems to be within the long tube of metal, several metres wide in circumference. Somewhere below her, something glows.
With no gravity, there is no way for Rogue to move. Nothing to do but hang where she is. Panicking will make her grow more lightheaded, so she’d be well-advised to keep her breathing even and hope that someone, somewhere will mis her. That someone will come look for her.
That the people of Reverie Terminal won’t leave her to her fate the way her teammates did during the Sentinel Wars.
For two days, Rogue will float there, cold, lightheaded and alone, unable to move any which way. Two days — and then between one heartbeat and the next, she finds herself crashing down onto the floor of the observation deck, her powers in check once more and no idea what happened. ---
If you're interested in being involved in this, let me know here and make sure you've filled out Rogue's permissions. Up to 3 people can enjoy accidental absorption, and 1-2 can witness her return on the observation deck.
I am still totally down with participating. She could drain his life force and disappear in front of Miller, then he could look for her/investigate her disappearance and eventually find her on the Obvs Deck? Or find her later whichever you prefer :)
