For the Remys of the World
Some basic plot ideas for PSLs with a Remy LeBeau...
Background: After the timeline reset of Days of Future Past, Rogue either 1) wakes up in the new timeline with the memories of the old timeline, or 2) is dropped into a different verse.
Situation: Due to being held and tortured in the mansion, Rogue will not be comfortable staying in Xavier's, especially if there is another Rogue there. There are a few options for the type of things that she would do, but regardless of what or where, she wouldn't push Remy away if he contacted her or visited. She wouldn't immediately jump into things with him, because he's not her Remy, but she wouldn't be able to cut him out of her life either.
Other ideas that might be interesting to play with:

- The new timeline would be set in the movieverse, but we could completely AU things and just follow general movieverse laws (that are flexible anyway, as we've seen).
- A different verse could be set in any canon or point, with or without another Rogue in that universe.

- Help establish another school location: Rogue needs a mission, something to keep her going, and building a new, safe school from the ground up would do that for her. She would create special security measures for the school, give input on the grounds and layout of the building, and eventually help run it. --> Perhaps Remy could be asked or volunteer to help? With his thieving skills, he'd probably be pretty good at working out security plans.
- Go on other types of missions/jobs for the X-Men that wouldn't require her to visit the mansion much, if ever. She worked gathering intelligence during the DoFP war and would be more than willing to do such again. --> They could see each other when she does return to the mansion, or he could go with her on certain jobs, with or without her knowing.
- Take a sabbatical from all things X-Men. The only 'home' she feels she has left is New Orleans, so she would either go live there for a while or would find somewhere remote in Canada, which also feels vaguely like home to her. She would find a normal job and try to lead a normal life for a little while. --> Who doesn't appreciate an incorrigible Cajun showing up on their doorstep?
Other ideas that might be interesting to play with:
- Amnesia Meme - Rogue could have partial or full amnesia, which could lead to all sorts of angst and awkward situations. Or Remy could be the forgetful one; no way would she be able to turn away from him.
- On the Run Meme - They could be on the run from the usual suspects, or something new and exciting. When I AU Rogue into the MCU, she's usually on the run from HYDRA after they notice her arrival in the verse.
- Pirate AU Meme - Pirate, thief, they're kinda the same thing, right? We could just go complete AU with this one.
- Soul Mate Meme - More delicious AUs. Tattoos, touch, and clock elements would be preferred.
- Gothic Romance Meme - Maybe with a southern twist.
- Vampire Meme - Because it has to be mentioned.
- Royally Common Romance Meme - It's a classic for a reason.
- Regency AU Meme - So many of these have promise.

They could hit a couple different places. Alaska, Santa Monica, Paris?
Go to New Orleans after, for a pit stop/vacation, have adventures there(Maybe at Mardi Gras?), then head for the new location with new documentation. They could have adventures while construction and so on is being done There?
So, like, four phases, so far, of adventure.
Book 1: Drop into new timeline, and meet Remy/choose new mission.
Book 2: Go to find new places for expansion of school.
Book 3: Go to New Orleans.
Book 4: Go supervise construction.
And of course, through all of this is threaded them getting to know each other, each having some knowledge of a version of the other, and chances at hanky panky and romance can be seeded through the storyline?
I am slow, and possibly crazy, but this sounds like fun.
